Ketchikan

Ketchikan is Alaska’s first city located on the island of Revillagigedo. It’s it well know as the Salmon Capital of the World. Sportfishing Anglers travel from afar to come fish the for Alaska’s 5 salmon Species and bottom fish. King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, Red Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish.

There are no roads connecting the island to the main land. Travelers can travel to Ketchikan on a 90 minute flight from Seattle, Washington. With several daily flights available in and out of Ketchikan provided by Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines. Or you can catch a ferry ride on the Alaska Marine Highway’s System from Bellingham or Prince Rupert Canada.
